Awacak is an association created by First Nations people whose children have disappeared or died following admission to a health and social services institution, and whose members are all members of indigenous families who have lost track of their children. Awacak is registered in the Quebec Enterprise Register as a non-profit legal entity.
MISSION
To represent, accompany and support families with a child or children who have disappeared or died following admission to a health and social services institution, in their search.
To carry out any action that helps restore dignity and justice to indigenous families with children who have disappeared or died in a health and social services institution.
