The AWACAK LOGO or little beings of light in Atikamekw

The circle of life is divided into four equal parts representing different directions, each associated with a season and a color. At the center of this sacred circle, a mother holds her child in a traditional baby carrier, a tikinagen. The sunbeams that illuminate them represent the seven teachings of the medicine wheel;

love, truth, respect, courage,
compassion, bravery, humility.

The Awacak association belongs to its members.
Any member of a family who has lost track of a child, whether deceased or missing,
can become a member.

As soon as Bill 79 was enacted, some elders signed their membership cards to help find their missing children. They had been waiting for years for the kind of help the law provides.
